Critical Acclaim for Big Gold Sun Album...
Kelly is typical
of the talent we have in this town. Widely regarded as a
wonderful singer, it never seems she gets her just
rewards. This album shows someone comfortable with their
own voice and material, no posing, no trying to limit
herself or fit into a genre. Its a strong statement of
"this is what I do". For some, not being able to
pigeon hole someone is hard to handle, but for many
others, genre is irrelevant, as long as its good. From
Cole Porter to Irving Berlin to "Id rather go Blind",
made famous by Etta James, to originals co-written with
Rocky Dabscheck, Kelly explores it all. Her line
up of Muso's is also a sign of the esteem in which she
is held. Tim Neal, Pete Howell, Paul Williamson, Neale
Farnell, George Butrumlis and Justin Brady just to
mention a few. An Album full of wonderful music..
